Things you need to know...

Do you do in person lessons or just online?

Lessons can be both in-person or online via Zoom. In-person lessons will be limited to the Harrogate area.

How much do you charge per session?

In-person lessons are £35 per hour, online lessons are £30 per hour. The first session is also free to be used as a taster session.

Do you have any qualifications or experience?

While I don't possess a formal teaching qualification, I hold a BSc first degree in Mathematics and A-Levels in Biology and Chemistry. These serve as a strong foundation for my expertise in the subjects. With over two years and 1000+ hours of extensive tutoring experience with Maths, Science and English, and a 100% pass rate, I take great pride in helping students excel in their studies.

How do your online lessons work, what will my child need?

Online lessons are delivered over the online application, Zoom. It can be accessed via an app or online on any computer, tablet or smartphone (tablet is advised for best results). You just need a free Zoom account. I will then send the meeting details in an email/text message which you can input at the agreed upon time. Your child will just need a quiet place, some paper, a pen and a calculator, then we're good to go!

What happens if I miss a lesson?

We understand that life can be unpredictable, and occasionally, lessons might need to be missed. To ensure smooth scheduling and maximise learning opportunities, we kindly request a minimum of 6 hours' notice if you need to cancel a lesson. In the event of late cancellations or no-shows, the full payment for the session will be required.

Will I receive any progress updates?

Following each face-to-face lesson, you will receive a comprehensive progress update to track your achievements and areas of improvement.
For online lessons, we continue to provide updates, although not always on a weekly basis due to the flexible nature of online learning. However, rest assured that updates can always be provided upon request, whenever you feel the need to stay updated on your academic journey.
